Cyclone Amphan Relief 2020

Team Bonyo were one of the first to reach the devastated areas of Sunderbans Tiger & Bio-sphere Reserve with reliefs, after the cyclone 'Amphan', (pronounced as 'Um-pun') in May 2020. More than 1200 villagers were provided relief materials with support from friends and families in association with WB Forest Department.

Bonyo Support after supercyclone

Support relief were provided in various areas of Sunderban Biosphere Reserve as well as Sunderban Tiger Reserve. The most devastated villages like Deolbari I & II, Jatirampur, Rangabelia, Triplegheri Bazaar were the areas where relief materials like dry food packets, rice, biscuits, milk powder for children, tarpaulins, mosquito nets, water purification tablets, bleaching powder, sarees, dress materials and others were handed over.

Free Medical camps were organized at various locations like Triplegheri Bazar and Manosa More under Sajnekhali Range and Kalitola & Hemnagar under Basirhat Range with registered medical practitioners along with distribution of free medicines, sanitary napkins, water purification tablets.
